how to save the World from Global Warming? The most effective way?

What is it that Al Gore said? "When I was in school the world population was 4 billion. By the time I expect to die it will be 9 billion" (not an exact qoutation)

Now, taking into account that humans breath in Oxygen and breath out CO2, we as humans are directly causing global warming just by breathing. Furthermore, since our population is increasing so drastically, it's inevidable that global CO2 levels will rise as long as humans are here. (After all we can't ask countries to help stop global warming and not breath for a decade or so.)

There are, however , three very effective ways of stopping this problem.

1. Just massacre the entire human population ( No humans, no anthropogenic CO2--Though this is probobly not the best way)

2. Colonize other planets to the extent that only a small fraction of Earth's population is left actualy on Earth (i.e. Mars --with current technology...good luck..)
3. VERY strict birth control. (Strict to the point that would make China look like a brothel before the invention of birth control---talk about 1984 eh?)

Everything else, I'm afraid, is just delaying the inevidable. Because no matter how much we conserve, how much we try to stop the output of CO2 and such, if we ignore our own natural waste products the only thing that we'll accomplish is quickly crashing our civilization.
