I would have to say that the best news site that i know of is www.drudgereport.com.
This site covers world news to a degree that surpasses everything else that i have ever seen. This is because it acts as a compendium of pretty much every major english (North American and British) news paper's headlines. (not to mention various reputable online journals)
Although the minor or more local details are ommitted, it is this system that not only makes Drudge Report a ready source of news, but also makes it completely unbiased. (Clearly seen by the completely opposing articles found. i.e.The different views of global warming)

I am waiting for someone to answer this proclaiming that Fox is unbiased. Drudge is ok, but with a conservative leaning. Drudge will cover stories, even if they make the conservatives look bad.

Through its selection of headlines, the way it words them, it consistently shows a bias. It's a conservative version of Huffington Post, which is more liberal.
